Para P-12 Lower compatability with my 1911 CCU, Questions

Postby 1911crazy » 01 Sep 2013, 07:03

Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone on the forum has a Para Ordinance P-12 Lower they have used on the 1911 CCU unit and
how does it function for you. My understanding is you have to purchase Mechtechs Parablock to make this work. Is this correct?
I have a P-12 pistol and was considering doing this was just asking opinions on how it has worked out for the people that have done this.
Thanks for the comments and advise
Regards Roy :)

1911crazy.

I'm using the P12 with the 460 Rowland CCU. It is functional and you should be able to use the P14 magazines. You do need the Parablock and the forward section on the Mousetrap will be exposed due to the size of the compact frame ...

Thanks for the info Drifter!
Just ordered the Parablock today and am going to give this a try.
I really like the trigger set up on my P12 and hope it shoots just
as well as the Para GI Expert lower I am using now. The extra
capacity magazines will be a real plus !
Thanks Again 1911 crazy :)

Hello all,
I have an early P-14. I mean early in that the feed ramp is a part of the frame and it uses a standard 1911 barrel. Anybody else running this setup? I have money in hand but need an answer first.

Rickg5106,

Since your P-14 has the feed ramp built into the frame with a standard 1911 barrel that should just make it more like a standard 1911. Can't think of why it wouldn't work.
