New owner question

Postby firefloyd » 06 Feb 2018, 17:12

Been shooting a Glock G40 for two years with a Burris Fastfire 3.
This set-up is dead-on at 50 yards from my deer stand. Way further out when shooting steel.
Mech Tech 10mm arrives Monday.
My question pertains to folks on this forum that are running the UTG red/green dot that comes with the kit: What experiences have you had and have you stayed with the UTG product for a long run.
Thanks,
Floyd

Well, here I am answering a portion of my own question:
Item arrived today, so it was early. Thanks, Diane, for the 5 day turn-around. (Yes, folks. The 10mm did not have a run against inventory).
Went to range immediately in spite of 11 degrees and damp wind.
1 mag of Sellier Belott 10mm and the UTG adjusted easily and made a coffee cup group at 25 yards. Reduced that to about half with two more mags and called it a good 30 minutes.
Will really dial in for much greater yardage when weather and time permit in the next few days.
Still interested in forum members experience with UTG for the long haul.
